Royal Belgian Institute for Space Aeronomy

Since its creation in 1964, the main tasks of the Royal Belgian Institute for Space Aeronomy (BIRA-IASB) are research and public service in the field of space aeronomy, which includes the study of the physics and chemistry of the atmospheres of the Earth and other planets, and of outer space (www.aeronomie.be). BIRA-IASB has strong expertise in designing and operating instruments and experiments to monitor atmospheres and space environment. It has also developed a strong know-how in the exploitation of measurements from ground, air and space, as well as their geophysical interpretation using, among others, theoretical and numerical models.

Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt e.V. (DLR)

The Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt e.V. (DLR) is the German national research establishment for aeronautics, astronautics, transport and energy technology. DLR is a large research centre within the Helmholtz-Gemeinschaft der Forschungszentren (HGF). DLR is also responsible for the management of the German national space programme.

SYMOPT S.R.L (SYstems and Modelling OPTimization Co. Ltd) is an academic spin-off of the University of Trieste (Italy), established in January 2017. The company aims at being the link between the Academia and Industry to spread the most advanced methods for the automation and optimization in transportation, logistics, manufacturing and decision-making processes in general. SYMOPT’s goal is to transfer the latest developments in management, control and optimization to its customers (both industry and public institutions), thus helping customers to improve their processes and infrastructure, to become more efficient, sustainable, to improve safety and their overall competitiveness in ever-changing world. Symopt has a status of innovative start-up in Italy.
