The ALARM project will take part in the EGU22

The EGU (European Geosciences Union) General Assembly 2022 will bring together geoscientists from all over the world to discuss their ideas about all disciplines of the Earth, planetary and space sciences. It will be celebrated physically and online on the 23–27 May 2022 in Vienna, and three different conferences within the ALARM project will take place:

Characterization and nowcasting of severe weather events over Milano Malpensa
  • Aikaterini Anesiadou, Sandy Chkeir, and Riccardo Biondi
  • Session NH1.4 – Extreme meteorological and hydrological events induced by severe weather and climate change

Multi-station Multivariate Multi-step Convection Nowcasting with Deep Neural Networks
  • Sandy Chkeir, Aikaterini Anesiadou, and Riccardo Biondi
  • Session ITS2.6/AS5.1 – Machine learning for Earth System modelling

Decrease of anthropogenic emission from aviation and detection of natural hazards with potential application in geosciences using satellite sensors, ground-based networks and model forecasts in the context of the SACS/ALARM early warning system
  • Hugues Brenot et al.
  • Session NH6.1 – Remote sensing big data analysis and applications in geosciences
